The DunLeary Lifeboat arrived in Dun Laoghaire Harbour boat yard beside the West Pier on Tues 15th August 2017.
Dunleary Lifeboat Project was set up to acquire the registered historic lifeboat named the ‘Dunleary‘ which was on service in Dun Laoghaire, Co. Dublin, Ireland (formally Kingstown) from 1919 – 1937.
The group plan to restore and fit out this vessel to its former glory, with the view to complying with the current marine certification for pleasure crafts. It is expected to take approximately 3 years to complete the work.
