Vikings are coming to Dun Laoghaire …

Bicentenary Viking Invasion

Thursday 10th August 2017

To celebrate the Dun Laoghaire Harbour Bicentenary we welcome a pretty angry group of Nordic sea farers to our 200 year old harbour. Vikings will invade the harbour on Sunday 20th August and the East Pier is open to the public to view this exciting event.

A Viking camp will be open to the public on the East Pier from 12noon to 17:00 on Sunday 20th August.  This is a chance to see replica Viking longboats, a Viking camp and to meet the Vikings themselves.

This is a special opportunity for Vikings fans to witness a Viking invasion re-enactment with two 36ft Viking longboats attacking the East Pier.

This family event is with thanks to Irish National Sailing & Powerboat School & Fáilte Ireland.
